We extol thee, our generous Redeemer, Before going from here away; Putting our spirits and our poor bodies Into thy tender, generous care. Whenever we are far away from thy children Grant us the delightful enjoyment Of thy presence, our God, Through various perilous paths. O to all meet soon Within the eternal court! All of the saints rest together far Above in the heavenly tent. There we may get to fellowship forever, Delightfully among the seraphim; And walk with the Lamb always, Beloved of the faithful ones. The beloved saints of every age The godly apostles, And all the worthy martyrs who get To enjoy the heavenly glory. Over everlasting ages, the saints shall get The enormous endless privilege; Of keeping company dearly with each other And praising together the Godhead.tr. 2023 Richard B Gillion |
